Although it would appear that I have abandoned this blog… well, I guess I did! Anyway, I’ve been using DailyMile and Twitter to keep track of my training and other runners’ training and posting small, quick updates and haven’t really had the need, time nor interest in keeping my own blog updated. It just really isn’t necessary. I like the quick, abbreviated posts I can make on Twitter and I love the camaraderie and tracking abilities of DailyMile. In all honesty, I don’t think anyone reads this blog except… well not even my Mom! :)

So if updates are few and far between, now you know why. I’m sure if I end up having more to talk about other than my training and quick updates, I’ll be back. If not, then you know where to find me!

How do others find time to balance their online presence(s)? And I’m not talking about those special few who are able to make a living out of it. Clearly, the majority of us do not.

I know, I know — the previous template was lovely. However, it had too many kinks and quirks in it that were bugging the heck out of me. This one is cleaner and doesn’t have any bugs [that I know of].

Been busy with life and will return soon! I have a 5k tomorrow in Winter Park — the Lady TrackShack 5k. Hopefully by tomorrow morning, the virus that’s turned into a nasty head cold that’s been tormenting me for a week will lay off long enough for me to finish with a decent time. I did a short run Wednesday after work, but man did my lungs burn. I think I’ve gotten most of the gunk out of my lungs so it shouldn’t be too bad tomorrow. We’ll see.

Happy Friday — have a great weekend!

Well, I’ve really gone and done it now! Got tired of my old WordPress theme [which I'd majorly doctored up] and found one that’s a lot more colorful and interesting — so it matches my personality a hell of a lot better. Notice there aren’t any skulls or blood spatters…

Please let me know if something is broken or wonky and I’ll do my best to fix it or remove it — whichever takes the least amount of time and causes the fewest amount of gray hairs. ;)

Let me know what you think!

[Edited to add] For some reason, all the pages come up and show in the browser with a title of “Why?” Yay. Must be an undocumented “feature” of this template. I’ll keep looking for the culprit line of code and will try to get it resolved; not that it really impacts your lives at all… but still, it bugs me.

First off, welcome! Second, if you’re new to this site, please read the Why? page first. It, along with The Letter page explains exactly what’s going on here. Please come back often to check on my progress with regard to training for the 2010 Disney World 1/2 marathon — oh and of course how I’m doing with my Quest!

As always, thanks for coming by!

Half Marathon Training: DONE!

I completed my first 1/2 marathon! I ran in the Disney 1/2 Marathon January 9, 2010, for Team Olivia, helping to find a cure for Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer.
